Art’s Fire

Art’s Fire

A native of the East, ceramics became work of high artistic quality in ancient Greece. The word ceramic is derived from the Greek language and it means burnt substance. The form taken by clay when kneaded with water makes it easy to manage and acquire a myriad of shapes. You can create objects that are made from clay but various procedures are required to reach a final ceramic product. The use of clay as raw material is known to man since prehistoric times when it was mostly used for utensils and other objects of daily use. Ceramics can be known as the art fire due to the high temperatures set out to achieve the product. Photo-Flickr Chris.P
